What is a cookie?
The Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) defines a cookie as “a piece of information placed on your hard drive by the server of the website you are visiting.

It contains several data items:

  • the name of the server that uploaded it ;
  • an identifier in the form of a unique number;
  • possibly an expiry date.

This information is sometimes stored on your computer in a simple text file which a server accesses to read and record information”.

Generally speaking, what are cookies used for?
Cookies have different functions. They can be used by their depositor to recognize a visitor from one visit to the next, thanks to a unique identifier.

Some cookies may also be used to store the contents of a shopping cart, others to record a site’s language settings, still others to carry out targeted advertising, and still others to measure a site’s audience.

What cookies are used on the CZE France website? How do you accept or reject them?
Our site uses audience measurement and statistical cookies.

It also provides its visitors with “sharing buttons” for social networks, which may place cookies on their terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

– Cookies for audience measurement and statistics

We use a tool called “Google Analytics”, which implements cookies.

These cookies enable us to measure the audience of our website and, in so doing, to adapt our site to the needs of its visitors.
They enable us to track the number of visits, the number of pages viewed, visitor activity on the site and the frequency with which visitors return.
They record no other information.

You are informed that the Google Analytics tool is provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). The information generated by Google Analytics about your use of our website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
However, our site uses Google Analytics with the “anonymize IP” extension.
This is a feature designed to mask part of the IP address of Internet users, before any data concerning them is processed or stored.
This feature makes it impossible to identify visitors to our website.

To accept the use of our audience measurement cookies, simply continue browsing this site (by going beyond the home page, or by clicking on an element of the home page – image, link, etc.).

If you wish to refuse them, simply do not continue browsing this site; in this case, we will not retain any information about your visit;

In this case, you can continue browsing without any information about your visit being stored.

You can also install an add-on on your browser to disable Google Analytics every time you visit a website that uses it. This module can be downloaded from the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr.

– Cookies implemented by “share buttons

We also use computer applications designed by third parties, which enable our visitors to share content from our site on the “Facebook” and “Twitter” social networks.
These applications use cookies placed directly by the social networks concerned, which are likely to track your browsing habits.

More generallyow to accept/refuse the use of cookies?

You can select the appropriate settings on your browser to save your cookie management choices.
For example, you can configure your browser software so that cookies are stored on your terminal or, conversely, so that they are rejected, either systematically or depending on the sender; you can ensure that you are regularly offered the option of accepting or rejecting cookies before a cookie is likely to be stored on your terminal; and so on. How to configure your choices is specified in your browser’s help menu.

How long does your agreement last?

Your consent to the use of our audience measurement cookies is valid for 13 months.
Once this period has elapsed, a banner informing you of the use of cookies on this site and giving you the option of objecting to their use will reappear on the home page.
However, you have the possibility of objecting to the deposit of our audience measurement cookies at any time, by means of the link provided for this purpose under the “legal notices” tab on our website.

Your consent to the deposit of cookies generated by social networks when you share content is valid for a period set by them. We invite you to consult the privacy policies of these networks to find out about this duration and, more importantly, the browsing information they may collect through their application button.
